Walter F. Parkes
Walter F. Parkes , actually Walter Fishman , (born April 15, 1951 in Bakersfield , California ) is an American film producer . He is married to the film producer Laurie MacDonald . The couple works for the DreamWorks SKG film studio .
He has been nominated for an Oscar three times in his career : first in 1976 in the category of Best Documentary for The California Reich , followed by 1984 for Best Original Screenplay ( WarGames ) and most recently in 1991 for Best Picture ( Time of Awakening ). In 1998 he won a Golden Satellite Award and in 2008 the Independent Spirit Award .
