Berett - The Law of Vengeance is an American action film with Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren in the lead role.
action
Former racing driver Berett tries to earn a living by transporting stolen luxury cars. When he and his partner Eddie are stopped by a police officer on one of these transports, the situation gets out of hand. A gunfight ensues in which both Eddie and the cop are killed.
Berett is wrongly accused of murdering them and sentenced to life in prison. When transferred to prison, he escapes to save his life from another attempted murder. While getting a car, he kidnaps a young woman who - as it turns out later - is a deputy sheriff for his protection. Now he's being chased by all of the state's police force.
It turns out that it's the policeman Severence who tries to hunt down Berett. He arrested Berett as a teenager and took care of him. It turns out that Severence is behind the car smuggling and also has Berett's partner Eddie and the cop who was killed on his conscience to protect his criminal activities, which were almost blown that day.
A game of cat and mouse begins as Severence has to kill Berett because of his knowledge of him. During a shootout in a warehouse where the car smuggling takes place, Severence overlooks a surveillance camera that records how he cold-bloodedly shoots another cop who was also about to discover everything. When the police saw the videotape, they suspected that Berett was innocent.
Meanwhile, Barett and Severence are chasing each other with two luxury cars, which ends in a showdown between the two opponents in the desert. Severence is arrested and Santee is acquitted with the help of the young woman who witnessed the event.

Reviews
- film-dienst : "A relatively straightforward conception and dramaturgy is an action-packed spectacle with a maximum of fighting and killing scenes at B-film level."
