Matt Battaglia

Matt Battaglia (born September 25, 1965 in Tallahassee , Florida ) is an American actor.

Life

Prior to his career in the film business, he studied at the University of Louisville . Here he became a member of the university football team and later he played professionally in the National Football League . His first team were the Cleveland Browns , later he moved to the Philadelphia Eagles . He had to end his football career after breaking a back bone.

Matt Battaglia returned to university with a degree in business administration. In 1989 he first worked as an actor. He starred in two episodes of the crime series B.L. Stryker alongside Burt Reynolds . Two years later he had a small appearance on the television series Twin Peaks by David Lynch . A few more appearances in various series followed. In 1993 he made his feature film debut in the action film Barett - The Law of Vengeance with Dolph Lundgren . This was followed by numerous smaller appearances, including 1995 in the film Showgirls by Paul Verhoeven . 1996 Battaglia made an appearance in the series JAG - On behalf of honor and played 1997 Friends one of Phoebe's friends.

He played his first leading role in the two television sequels to Universal Soldier . In 1998, Universal Soldier 2 - Brothers under Arms and Universal Soldier 3 - Bloody Business were produced, and Battaglia played Luc Devreux , who was portrayed by Jean-Claude Van Damme in the original 1992 film . These films were followed by numerous guest appearances, so u. a. in Sabrina - Totally bewitched! . In 2002 he played a small role in the action film Half Past Dead, starring Steven Seagal . Battaglia is also trying to establish itself as a producer. In 2009 the family drama Brothers with Jake Gyllenhaal , Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman came out, in which he was involved as a co-producer. He also co-produced the horror thriller Kill Theory in 2009.

Matt Battaglia has been married since 2006.
