Halbtot - Half Past Dead ( Half Past Dead ) is an American action film with a German co-production in which, in addition to Steven Seagal and rapper Ja Rule, well-known German actors such as Hannes Jaenicke and Alexandra Kamp also play.

Sascha Petrosevitch (Steven Seagal) is apparently killed in a shootout between the Mafia and the FBI . The FBI uses the chance to smuggle Petrosevitch, known for car thefts, undercover as an undercover agent to Nick Frazier (Ja Rule) in "New Alcatraz", the new prison on Alcatraz . At the same time, after many years in prison, the refined gangster Lester McKenna is to be executed, who has not yet revealed the hiding place of the gold he stole, worth 200 million dollars. The prison is being taken over by terrorists, led by former law enforcement officer Donald Robert Johnson, who want to solve the mystery and bag the money. But after their helicopter, which was intended for the escape, crashes, they also have problems with Petrosevitch and Frazier, who fight the terrorists together after initial disputes. You can rescue Judge Jane McPherson, who has been taken hostage, and take out the terrorists. In the end, McKenna reveals to Petrosevitch where the money is before he blows himself up in a helicopter with the fleeing Johnson.
