Nia Peeples (born December 10, 1961 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California ; as Virenia Gwendolyn Peeples ) is an American singer and actress with Filipino roots.

Life

Peeples grew up in West Covina , California. As an eight-year-old child, she appeared in amateur performances. She studied music at the University of California, Los Angeles . Peeples began her career as a Young American .

Peeples made her debut in the 1981 television series The Music Shoppe . From 1984 to 1987, she appeared in the television series Fame - Roads to Fame . From 1983 to 1994 she appeared in the General Hospital series as Carla Escobar. In the SF thriller Deep Star Six (1989) she played one of the bigger roles. In the miniseries Wildes Land (1993) she appeared on the side of Jon Voight , Barbara Hershey , Louis Gossett junior , Oliver Reed and Reese Witherspoon . She also had a guest appearance on the television series Highlander in 1994 . She also played a bigger role alongside Steve Guttenberg in the horror comedy Im Jenseits are still rooms free (1997) as well as alongside Dan Aykroyd and John Goodman in the comedy Blues Brothers 2000 (1998) and in the action film Connors' War (2006) with Anthony Criss . From 2010 to 2017 she played the recurring role of Pam Fields in the drama and mystery series Pretty Little Liars .

From 1984 to 1986 Peeples was married to actor Guy Ecker, with whom she has a son, from 1989 to 1993 to singer Howard Hewett , with whom she has two daughters, and from 1997 to 2004 to stuntman Lauro Chartrand, to whom she has a daughter. She is married to the surfer Sam George in her fourth marriage.
