Elie Samaha

Elie Samaha (born May 10, 1955 in Beirut , Lebanon ) is a film producer.

Live and act

Elie Samaha made his debut as a producer in the film business in 1995 with the thriller Gunpower , starring , among others, Eric Roberts and Joe Pantoliano . He mainly produces B-films such as The Foreigner from 2003, but also films such as Tristan & Isolde (2006) are part of his repertoire. He acts as a producer as well as an executive producer.

In 2001 he was awarded the Golden Raspberry in the worst film category for the science fiction film Battlefield Earth . In the following year, the films he produced, Driven and Crime is King, were also nominated for this negative award in this category.

Actors whose films he regularly produces include Steven Seagal , Dolph Lundgren and Tia Carrere . He was married to the latter from 1992 to 2000.
