Joe Pantoliano
Joe Pantoliano (born September 12, 1951 in Hoboken ) is an American actor .
Life
Pantoliano was born to his first generation parents, Mary, a bookmaker and seamstress, and Dominic "Monk" Pantoliano, a hearse driver and factory worker, who immigrated to the United States from Italy.
Joe Pantoliano began his acting career in the mid-1970s with small roles in various cinema and television productions. He played one of his first important roles in 1980 in the drama All My Stars . At the beginning of the 1980s, he was mainly seen as a guest star in various television series. So Pantoliano played in two episodes of Hart but cordially .
This was followed mainly by appearances in film productions, including as Eddie Moscone in Midnight Run - Five Days to Midnight (1988), as Deputy Marshal Cosmo Renfro in On the Run (1993), as Mafioso Caesar in Bound (1996), as Cypher in Matrix (1999) and as a police officer John Edward "Teddy" Gammel in Memento (2000). Despite this development, Pantoliano also remained loyal to television and took on a recurring role in the mafia series The Sopranos from 2000 to 2004 . In 2003 he received an Emmy for this role . In 2003 he made his debut as a director and directed the film Just Like Mona . He has also been working as a film producer since the mid-1990s.
Pantoliano was married to actress Morgan Kester from 1979 to 1985, with whom he has three children. In 1994 he married makeup expert Nancy Sheppard, with whom he has another child. He is the founder of the No Kidding? Me too! that advocates acceptance for people with mental illness.
