Reviews
Janet Maslin wrote in the New York Times on February 15, 1985 that the film had a fast pace and momentum. There are more surprises than necessary. Kurt Russell plays solid, but there is no chemistry between him and Mariel Hemingway.
The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was an "exciting thriller that also posed questions about the responsibility of the press" . He was "due to some simplifications in the character drawing, exaggerated hardship and the unbalanced staged ending, but not completely successful" .
