action
The nine-month-old Bennington August Cotwell IV. Aka "Baby Bink" (Adam Worton and Jacob Joseph Worton) is the pride of his parents Laraine (Lara Flynn Boyle) and Bennington Cotwell (Matthew Glave) and the housemaid Gilbertine ( Cynthia Nixon ). Actually, they just want to have the cute face photographed. But the three criminals Eddie (Joe Mantegna), Norby (Joe Pantoliano) and Veeko (Brian Haley) plan to kidnap the little one and dress up as photographers.
Everything goes according to plan until Norby, who was supposed to take care of Baby Bink, falls asleep reading Baby Bink's beloved book and Baby Bink crawls out the window. The gangsters take up the chase, and a crazy chase across Chicago begins . During the chase, Baby Bink visits all the places that appear in his book - the blue bus, the zoo, the construction site, etc. But as hard as the gangsters try, they fail to catch Baby Bink.
In the end, Baby Bink's parents, housemaid and FBI agent Dale Grissom (Fred Dalton Thompson) find Baby Bink in a nursing home with veteran Hughes. Eddie, Norby and Veeko are also arrested, while Eddie throws Baby Bink's book, which was still there, out the window at Grissom's request.

Reviews
James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews that the film contained "not a glimmer of intellectual humor". In his opinion, John Hughes has not made an original movie since the success of Home Alone .
Even Roger Ebert compared the film in the Chicago Sun-Times from 1 July 1994 with Kevin - Home Alone . As in that comedy, Ebert criticized that the cartoon-inspired humor simply wouldn't work in a real film.
"An unambitious, yet carefully produced family film, which nevertheless achieves a remarkable level of entertainment with a predictable plot and honest gags."
