action

Frank Daly, considered a workaholic , heads a special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department's drug division . His unit is investigating Anthony Reece and his organization for drug dealing and money laundering . When two police officers die during an operation, a butcher shop goes up in flames and the suspects are able to escape, the police officers are suspended.

Four of the police officers then submit their resignation and investigate on their own to find out that a government agency is involved in the drug deal. The money will be used to finance arms deliveries to Central America .

During a chase, her partner Howard Jones is fatally wounded by the persecuted gangster in a dark park with an iron bar and succumbs to his injuries.

The ex-police officers find out that a large amount of laundered money is about to change hands at the pier. They manage to get the money into their possession and ease the drug traffickers by 22.5 million US dollars . Since these are unregistered bills, there is a great temptation not to hand the money over to the police, especially since the four of them have quit their active police service. To gain time and decide how to deal with the unexpected wealth, the money is hidden in a sewer that the men dug for the children of their neighborhood when building a baseball stadium.

When an unknown perpetrator threatens Frank Daly's family in his own home, the former police officers flee with their wives and children to an industrial building expropriated by the government. There they decide not to hand over the money to the government, but to return it to its owner, Norringer, so that he no longer threatens their families. They devise a plan to personally lure Norringer to hand it over, given the large sum.

On the field of the baseball stadium, which is under construction, there is a fight in which the ex-police officers can assert themselves against the crooks and kill them.

Finally, Howard Jones is ceremoniously buried and the baseball stadium dedicated to him and financed by the stolen money is inaugurated.
