Jeff Fahey (born November 29, 1952 in Olean , New York ) is an American actor .

Life

Fahey's family moved to Buffalo when he was ten years old. There he attended Father Baker's High School , which he graduated in 1972. He later made numerous trips, including to Israel and India ; during this time he lived off odd jobs. He then got a job at the Studio Arena Theater in Buffalo, and later moved to New York City , where he worked at the Raft Theater .

Fahey starred in the award-winning television series One Life to Live from 1982 to 1985 . The first time in the cinema you saw him in Silverado and Psycho III .

He was nominated for a Gemini Award in 1986 for his lead role of Raymond Graham in the television film The Execution of Raymond Graham (1985), in which he played alongside George Dzundza and Morgan Freeman .

He played leading roles in the horror film The Serpent of Death (1989), the action films My Horses - My Love (1989) and True Blood (1989), the thriller Iron Maze - In the Net of Passion (1991) and in science fiction -Film The Lawnmower Man (1992).

From 1995 to 1996 he appeared in a leading role in the television series The Marshal . In 1998, he starred alongside Tahnee Welch in the film Johnny 2.0 - The Replicant Factory . In the thriller Cold Heart (2001) he played one of the leading roles alongside Nastassja Kinski . From 2008 to 2010 he played the pilot Frank Lapidus in the television series Lost . He was able to attract a larger audience again with his roles in the movies Planet Terror (2007) and Machete (2010). The last one goes back to a " fake trailer " from the opening act of the first one, in which Fahey was already seen.

Fahey's output includes more than 150 film and television productions, including numerous B-films .
