No half measures (Original title: The Whole Nine Yards ) is an American crime comedy from 2000 directed by Jonathan Lynn with Bruce Willis , Matthew Perry and Rosanna Arquette in the lead roles.
action
Dentist Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky, who lives in a suburb of Montreal, is hated by his wife Sophie and his mother-in-law, and his father-in-law has left him with a mountain of debt. His only friend is his receptionist Jill, who advises him to leave his wife.
One day he gets a new neighbor and finds out that he is the mafia hit man Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski. Tudeski seeks protection in the anonymity of the suburbs after testifying against the powerful Gogolak family, part of the Chicago mafia. The two become friends, but Oz's wife urges him to go to Chicago and reveal Tudeski's whereabouts to Janni Gogolak. With the reward they could pay their debts.
In Chicago, however, Oz decides not to betray his neighbors. However, he is expected in his hotel room by the hit man Franklin "Frankie Figs" Figueroa, who brings him to Janni Gogolak. There he meets Tudeski's wife, Cynthia. Meanwhile, Oz's wife reveals her husband's plan to Tudeski to get him to kill him and get his life insurance.
Tudeski and Jill, who turns out to be a prospective hit man and admires Tudeski, can finally kill Gogolak and his henchmen. Oz uses his knowledge as a dentist and fakes Tudeski's death by exchanging teeth on a corpse. He chooses Oz and kills Frankie Figs. Oz and Cynthia get married.

Reviews
"Routinely staged, but carelessly devised attempt that combines uninspired and soulless elements from comedy, romance and gangster film."
“Despite his graceful bow to the Humphrey Bogart classic Key Largo ( Key Largo is on TV in the background during a shootout ) - No Half Measures has not captured the criminal" logic of kindness "convincingly. [..] In any case, no half measures should have been better made two films - one about a bloodbath among gangsters and one about the antics of a dentist. "
“It all sounds pretty confused. It is. But comedy expert Jonathan Lynn keeps track of the general chaos. And so the course of action takes new, absurd twists and turns, until you either completely succumb to the charm of the over-the-top killer slapstick or - as a warning to all slapstick haters - leave the cinema prematurely unnerved. The trigger-happy, which is provocatively incidentally celebrating no half measures, is countered by director Lynn with bizarre, sometimes kitschy-romantic entanglements. "
Awards
The film was nominated for two Blockbuster Entertainment Awards in 2001.
