Out of Reach is an American action film from 2004. It is about the kidnapping of a 13-year-old Polish girl who depends on the help of a highly decorated agent ( Steven Seagal ).

William Lansing is a highly decorated war veteran. He was in the Vietnam War and then became a CIA agent. A combat expert, he once carried out the toughest assignments in the United States . Lansing is considered the most experienced and best fighter in the world.
At some point he no longer wants to kill and retires to a lonely hut against the will of his former employer. He is engaged in healing injured animals, as well as with Indian secret characters.
During a pen friendship with Irena Morawska, a girl from an orphanage in Warsaw , he initiated her into the characters.
William is approached in a restaurant by one of his former employers who wants to recruit him. Lansing refuses and returns to his forest hut, where other acquaintances are already waiting for him, who do not even shrink from violence. When they threaten him with a weapon, he defeats them in close combat. Meanwhile, Irena is kidnapped from the orphanage by Faisal, a child trafficker and leader of the Pruszkow organization in the film (obviously named after the small town of the same name Pruszków in southeast Warsaw ) . Lansing travels to Poland to save Irena. In the hotel he is surprised by two mafia members whom he kills. Kasia Lato, a policewoman in Pruszkow, meets Lansing while searching for Irena. Together they take up the fight against the Cosa Nostra . Two other men try in vain to kill Lansing. He kills five men in a shootout. He penetrates the fortress of Faisal, where it comes to a duel and can bring down Kendō Faisal through his sword fighting skills . In the end he takes in Irena and Nikki.
