Alex Heffes

Alex Heffes (born September 2, 1971 in Beaconsfield , Buckinghamshire , England ) is a British composer .

biography

After graduating from the University of Oxford, Alex Heffes assisted the British composer Simon Boswell and the British musician Elton John, among others . In 1998 Heffes made his debut with his music for the two television films Big Cat and Little White Lies as a film composer for feature films. Since composing for the documentary One Day in September , he has worked with Scottish filmmaker Kevin Macdonald . He composed music for Fall into Void , State of Play and The Last King of Scotland - In the Fangs of Power . For the latter, he was nominated for best film music at the 2007 European Film Awards.
