Simon Boswell

Simon Boswell (* 1956 in London , England ) is a British film composer .

Career

He began his career in the film business in 1984 working as a composer on the horror film Phenomena by director Dario Argento . His second film, Demons, from 1986 was also an Italian horror film production, this time directed by Lamberto Bava , with whom he worked several times. Until the 1990s he was involved in Italian films without exception; his first English-language film was Mortal Sins from 1992. This was followed primarily by British and American productions, including some television productions. In 2009 he took part in the Pope's CD "Alma Mater".

Simon Boswell has been married since 1985.

Prizes and awards

In 1991 he was nominated for a film award for the first time: Boswell received a nomination for the Saturn Award for the film Santa Sangre . Seven years later he was nominated for the Goya in the Best Original Score category for his work on Perdita Durango .
