action

The Mafia boss Joe Maloni kills his accountant Frank, whom he considers dishonest with him. The man killed was in debt to Joe. Maloni gives Franks widow Fran her husband's job to work off his debt.

Six months later, Maloni and Fran get into a shootout in which Fran shoots the attackers, saving Joe's life. Thereupon Joe instructs Fran with contract killings, which she does not carry out for reasons of conscience. Fran takes the target persons to her brother's house in the country. There they live together, hidden from the mafia.

After three assignments, Maloni finds out that he has been deceived by Fran. He sends one of his men to see the bodies of the victims. The three men pretend to be dead. The clever man turns out to be an undercover FBI agent who is supposed to convict Maloni. He reveals to Fran that he and not she killed the attackers when she and Maloni were trapped. The agent and his colleague equip Fran with eavesdropping technology with which the careless statements of the expected Maloni can be recorded.

When Maloni comes and is upset about the deception, a scuffle breaks out. Maloni is killed, the FBI agents overwhelmed and tied up. The three spared victims and Fran leave together to build a new life.
