Brian Tyler (born May 8, 1972 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American conductor and film composer .

Brian Tyler was born in Los Angeles and studied at the University of California and Harvard University . He plays several instruments including piano , drums , guitar , bass , violoncello, and percussions . Tyler is the grandson of Oscar winner Walter H. Tyler . Since 1997 he has worked as a composer for film and television productions, and he has also been involved in several video games. In total he worked on more than 100 projects.

In 2018, Tyler composed the official anthem for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship on behalf of Liberty Media .
