Greg Yaitanes

Greg Yaitanes (born June 18, 1970 in  Wellesley , Norfolk County Massachusetts ) is an American director . He was one of the earliest investors on Twitter .

life and work

He grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he made his first film: Salad Bar: The Movie . When he came of age, he moved to Los Angeles and attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts , a film school founded in 1929 at the University of Southern California . At the age of 23 he made his first commercial directorial work. Yaitanes was known early on for his tenacity. To meet the established film producer Joel Silver , he waited several hours for a short meeting. He was hired by Silver for his second feature film, Cypher .

In 2008, Yaitanes won an Emmy for directing Dr. House for the episode House's Head . He has worked on many well-known television series as a director and producer, including Damages - Im Netz der MachtLostPrison BreakHeroes  and  Grey's Anatomy .

In addition to his talent for successful television series, Yaitanes is known for his entrepreneurial spirit in the tech field and is respected in Silicon Valley . His investments in startups like Twitter , Square , Pinterest and Snapchat have made him known for his foresight in developing technological trends.

Yaitanes has Greek roots and is active in the Greek community. He supports the Gabby Award from the Greek America Foundation, the opening ceremony of which he staged on Ellis Island in 2011 .

Yaitanes lives in New York and Los Angeles. He has two sons.
