Michael McGrady

Michael Steven McGrady (born March 30, 1960 in Federal Way , Washington ) is an American actor and artist, best known for his role as Detective Daniel "Sal" Salinger in the television series Southland . He was also seen in 18 episodes of the Ray Donovan series and was on the main cast of the freeform series Beyond from 2016 to 2017 . He was also in a longer supporting role in the series Mob City of Frank Darabont to see how even in Low Winter Sun .

Life

McGrady was born in Federal Way, Washington, to Gloria, the owner of a hair salon, and George McGrady, an aircraft mechanic. He attended Federal Way High School and the University of Washington with a major in business administration.

McGrady had originally planned to become a lawyer and was working in a bank when his sister invited him to a competition for a scholarship at a local drama school. McGrady then moved to California to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. His first role was in a commercial for Cherry Pepsi .

He currently resides in Southern California with his wife Ilka and their children. His daughter, Hunter McGrady, is a model.
