Edward M. "Teddy" Sears (born April 6, 1977 in Washington, DC ) is an American actor .

Life

Teddy Sears was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Chevy Chase , Maryland . Sears comes from a family of athletes. His great-grandfather Henry Edward Sears won a gold medal in shooting at the 1912 Summer Olympics . His aunt Mary Sears won a bronze medal in butterfly swimming at the 1956 Summer Olympics .

Sears studied business administration at the University of Virginia . After discovering his talent for acting, he moved to New York for further education.

Sears gained his first television experience in 2001 in an episode of Sex and the City as well as in an episode of Love, Lies, Passion and in the film To End All Wars - The True Hell . In the following years appearances in Whoopi , Criminal Intent - Verbrechen im Visier and in the Late Show with David Letterman followed . Sears was also in Justice - Not Guilty , CSI: Miami , Ugly Betty , Big Love , Mad Men , Rules of Engagement , Samantha Who? and to see Dollhouse . Between 2008 and 2009 he had a starring role in the series Raising the Bar of the transmitter TNT alongside Mark-Paul Gosselaar held. Between 2010 and 2011 he appeared in ten episodes of the series The Defenders . After further guest roles in In Plain Sight and Dr. He played Dani Santino - Game of Life for over four episodes in Torchwood . He also had the role of Patrick in the first season of the American Horror Story series in 2011 . After a lengthy story arc in the short-lived series 666 Park Avenue , he had played the role of Dr. Austin Langham in the Showtime series Masters of Sex . The series ended in 2016. He also played the role of the vicious speed star Zoom in the second season of The Flash.
