Stylistic devices
- The biggest difference between Justice and other legal series (such as Boston Legal ) is that at the end of each case the actual course of the crime is shown and the viewer learns in this way whether the final judgment was right or wrong .
- In addition, so-called " mock trials " are used to find out in advance and especially during a hearing whether and why the prosecutor or the defense is better received by the jury. "Mock-Trials", which only work unofficially for the defense, observe the negotiation and then determine in an e-voting which party from their point of view is more credible. The results are then evaluated by the defense during the hearing and also used to adapt their pleading to the ideas of the not yet convinced jury and in this way ultimately to reach all jurors with the appropriate intention .
- In the final phase of every court hearing, before the verdict is announced, the matrix effect is used, with the slow but more exciting action being accompanied by fast and aggressive tracking shots as well as similar cuts.
- It is also shown that the action usually does not always follow the same pattern, but can always be varied . An example of this is, for example, when a high-speed car trip follows a hearing from a client.
production
Justice was produced by Warner Bros. Television ( Emergency Room ) in collaboration with Bruckheimer Television ( CSI ) for the US broadcaster FOX . The series was invented by David McNally and Tyler Bensinger . Both were also executive producers along with Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman. The series' original title was American Crime .
The series was shot in Los Angeles .
reception

The thirteenth episode was not broadcast in the US, but in Mexico, UK and Germany. Also the sale in several countries, u. a. Austria , United States , Canada , Latin America , United Kingdom , Australia , Belgium , Brazil , Bulgaria , Hong Kong , Ireland , Netherlands , Norway , Philippines , South Africa , Sweden , United Arab Emirates , Spain , Germany did not result in an extension.
