Turner Network Television ( TNT ) is a US television station that is broadcast over cable. Turner Network Television was founded by media mogul Ted Turner and began broadcasting on October 3, 1988 with his favorite Gone With The Wind . TNT is owned by Turner Broadcasting System , a Time Warner company . Since 2007 TNT has launched various local versions of the channel in Germany, Spain and Turkey.
Alignment
While TNT mainly broadcast older films, TV shows and sports programs in the 1990s and only slowly began to broadcast its own series, a relaunch was started in June 2001 under the title We Know Drama . With this, own series productions should be brought to the fore.

International
European, Australian, Latin American, and Asian versions of TNT were launched back in the 1990s. However, these were exclusively dedicated to films, mainly from the archives of MGM and Warner Brothers . The European, Australian, and Asian versions of the station eventually became Turner Classic Movies (TCM). TCM is still up and running and continues to broadcast MGM and Warner Brothers films like TNT originally did.
Germany
In January 2009 a version of TNT started in Germany as a TNT series . The channel shows the German premieres of 30 Rock and Friday Night Lights , as well as a large number of old and new American series, including Mord ist Ihr Hobby , Alaska , Monk , Third Watch - Einsatz am Limit , Rescue Me , Six Feet Under - Die Always will , Emergency Room - The Emergency Room , King of Queens , Everyone loves Raymond and Caroline in the City . TNT Series broadcasts the TV series with two audio channels. One with the original English soundtrack and one with the synchronized soundtrack.
In June 2009 the German version of TCM was restarted as a TNT film . This makes TNT Film the fourth German Turner broadcaster after Cartoon Network , Boomerang (both 2006) and TNT Series (2007) .
In April 2014 the German version of glitz * was restarted as TNT Glitz .
Spain
In the summer of 2007, TNT hit Spanish pay TV. This is the 6th Turner broadcaster in Spain after Turner Classic Movies , Turner Classic Movies Clásico , Cartoon Network , Boomerang and CNN + , a joint venture between Turner Broadcasting and the Spanish Sogecable .
Turkey
A local version of TNT started broadcasting in Turkey in March 2008. In August 2012 the channel was closed.
