Franklin & Bash is an American dramedy - television series developed by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. It was produced from 2011 to 2014 by Sony Pictures Television in collaboration with FanFare Productions, Four Sycamore Productions and Left Coast Productions for the US cable broadcaster TNT . It is about two young lawyers who cause a mutual culture shock in a reputable law firm. It premiered in the United States on June 1, 2011 on TNT.

Lawyer friends Jared Franklin and Peter Bash begin to work for the prominent law firm Infeld-Daniels in order to bring the run-down shop back into shape.

Elmo "Jared" Franklin
Franklin is a confident attorney and the son of a famous criminal defense attorney. Season 2 reveals that his real first name is Elmo .
Peter Bash
He is Franklin's best friend and legal partner who is a little more mature and level-headed. Bash still has light feelings for his ex-girlfriend Janie.
Stanton Infeld
Stanton is an eccentric, senior partner in the prominent law firm Infeld-Daniels. After witnessing Franklin and Bash using unconventional techniques in court, he hires them because of their resemblance to him.
Carmen Phillips
She is an ex-convict who is privately investigating for Franklin and Bash.
Pindar "Pindy" Singh
He works as a lawyer with Franklin and Bash. They met once during their school days.
Damien Karp
Damien is Stanton's nephew who works as a Senior Partner for Infeld Daniels. He's jealous of Franklin and Bash as the two have had quick successes. He was once in a relationship with Hanna Linden, but broke up with her because she had a relationship with an employee. Karp is not interested in taking over the company because he would rather be a judge.
Hanna Linden
She works as a senior partner for Infeld Daniels and is Damien's ex-girlfriend, she wants to get back with him and therefore tries to make Damien jealous of Franklin. Infeld sees in her the future of the company if one day he gives up his position as managing partner. Linden was a member of the ROTC, and after graduating from law school, she served a year in the United States Navy as a JAG attorney. She left the firm after the end of the second season.
Rachel Rose King
King is a criminal defense attorney who joins the firm as a partner at the beginning of season three. From this point on the company is called Infeld, Daniels, and King.

The idea for the series came from the US television station TBS , which ordered a pilot episode in February 2010, which was developed by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. In March 2010 the main roles were cast with Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar . The project was followed by Malcolm McDowell , Dana Davis and Garcelle Beauvais . The filming of the pilot episode took place in Atlanta from late March to early April 2010 .

The series premiered on June 1, 2011 on TNT. The pilot episode was viewed by 2.74 million viewers. In the weeks that followed, an average of 2.61 million to 2.88 million Americans was reached. From the fifth episode, the interest in the series decreased slightly, so that the audience figures leveled off around 2.5 million. The season finale, which aired on August 3, 2011, reached 2.54 million viewers. On average, the first season was followed by 2.64 million viewers.

The second season ran between June 5 and August 12, 2012 on the station. The number of viewers increased compared to the first season, so that with the fourth episode a reach of 3.57 million was achieved. The second season reached an average of 2.88 million viewers.

The broadcast of the third season began on June 19, 2013 with a double episode. The audience ratings fell significantly compared to the first two seasons to 1.97 million viewers.

In October 2013, TNT announced that a fourth season with 10 episodes has been commissioned. The broadcaster has announced that it will begin broadcasting on August 20, 2014.

Germany

ProSiebenSat.1 Media has secured the broadcasting rights for Germany . The associated free TV transmitter cable one aired the first season of the series from November 7, 2014. Originally, the second season should also be seen on kabel eins from January 2015, but the broadcast was postponed due to the weak ratings. In July it was finally announced that the first broadcast of the second season would take place on August 28, 2015 on the pay-TV channel Sat.1 Emotions . By October 30, 2015, Sat.1 Emotions finally broadcast all of the remaining episodes of the series.
