action

The plot of Saving Grace focuses on the seedy investigator Grace Hanadarko. Because of immoral behavior, she has to follow an important case from her desk in the first episode. Hanadarko does not want to accept this and is investigating on his own. To blow off steam, she meets up with an old friend, Rhetta Rodriguez, in a bar from where she wants to drive home drunk and runs over a pedestrian. In her desperation, she turns to God, who also listens to her, and she gets help from the angel Earl, who explains to her that God is giving her one last chance. The angel disappears and with him the events of the accident.

The confused Hanadarko discovers a blood spatter on her clothes, which is attributed to Leon Cooley. He has been on death row for 12 years . During her visit to prison, she is recognized by the inmate as a woman from his dream - the dream that Grace Hanadarko experienced as a real accident. He is also familiar with the angel Earl.

background

Saving Grace was produced in a relatively elaborate manner for a television series on the channel TNT. For example, Oscar winner Holly Hunter will star in the lead , and the series will be filmed in Los Angeles studios and in Oklahoma City , where the series is set. In addition, a lot of CGI technology is used for a police series, which can be seen in the depiction of the angel in the pilot episode. The theme music is from Everlast . Next is an alternative - and country music playing in the background.

Charisma

In the United States, the first season, which consisted of thirteen episodes, began broadcasting on TNT on July 23, 2007 . The first nine episodes of it were shown on a weekly basis until September 17, 2007. The remaining four episodes aired December 3-18, 2007. Due to the success, a second season with 14 episodes was commissioned. The second season was shown from July 14, 2008 to April 13, 2009. It was split in two with seven episodes each in summer 2008 and in spring 2009. The third season, which was initially designed for 15 episodes, began on June 16, 2009. It was prematurely on August 18, 2009 after the 10th episode completed. The series has since been discontinued by the production studio for financial reasons, but announced the production of three final episodes. Since the broadcast of an episode originally planned for the second season took place in the course of the third season, nine episodes remained, which ran from March 29 to June 21, 2010 on TNT.

A German-language first broadcast has not yet taken place.
