King & Maxwell is an American crime series that first aired on TNT from June 10 to August 12, 2013 . The series is about the two former Secret Service agents Sean King and Michelle Maxwell who now work together as private investigators . The series was developed by Shane Brennan , who already worked for Navy CIS: LA . The plot of the series is based on the novels by David Baldacci .
In Germany, the series was broadcast on VOX from May 15, 2014 .

The two former Secret Service agents Sean King and Michelle Maxwell opened a private detective agency together after their time at the Secret Service . Maxwell is a sporty young woman who makes a lot possible for both of them with her expertise and contacts. King may not be as active as she is, but as a trained lawyer, he can score points in every respect when it comes to legal issues.

Production and broadcast
The pilot episode of the series was commissioned by TNT in September 2012 after CBS failed to order the project. The two main leading roles in the series were cast around a month later with Jon Tenney and Rebecca Romijn . Tenney had already starred in the TNT series The Closer from 2005 to 2012 . The series began airing on June 10, 2013 following Major Crimes . The premiere was seen by 3.52 million viewers and achieved a target group rating of 0.6. The last of the ten episodes aired on August 12, 2013. On average, the short-lived series was watched by 3.11 million viewers. In September 2013, the series was discontinued after a season.
After VOX secured the rights to broadcast the series in March 2014, it broadcast the series from May 14 to July 16, 2014.
