James Whitmore, Jr.
James Allen Whitmore III (born October 24, 1948 in Manhattan , New York City ), better known as James Whitmore Jr. , is an American actor and has been a television director since the 1980s . Most prominent as an actor, he is for his role as Captain Jim Gutterman in the television series Pazifikgeschwader 214 . He is the son of actor James Whitmore .
life and work
Born and living in Manhattan , Whitmore has repeatedly had guest roles in television series such as Detective Rockford - Just Call and Hunter . He also made appearances in two episodes of Magnum and one episode of Battlestar Galactica . He then directed many episodes of television series from the later famous producer Donald P. Bellisario , creator of Magnum and one of Galactica's then-scriptwriters .
In addition to directing series episodes for Donald P. Bellisario ( Back to the Past , Tequila and Bonetti , JAG - On behalf of Honor , Navy CIS , and Navy CIS: LA ), Whitmore also directed many of Joss Whedon's series . He made the final episodes of Dawson's Creek and Back to the Past .
