Tequila and Bonetti (Original title: Tequila and Bonetti ) is an American dramedy - television series . It was first broadcast on January 17, 1992 on CBS . The series idea was later adapted for Italian television.

action

The main character of the series Nico "Nick" Bonetti is an Italian-born police officer in New York City . He is proud of his parentage and drives a Cadillac convertible, which he inherited from his father. After accidentally shooting a girl in a gunfight, he switched police stations. There he meets his new partner, the Burrito -fressenden dog Tequila, a Dogue de Bordeaux . During the series, Nico painfully remembers the girl's death over and over again. He also struggles with the quirks of the Californians.

End of series and new attempt

Just four months after the premiere of the series, it was discontinued after twelve episodes due to a lack of satisfactory audience ratings . At the turn of the millennium, a new attempt of the series was started in Italy, but with a character from the United States who is struggling with the Italian "quirks".
