Ned Bastille
Ned Bastille (20th century) is an American film editor who has overseen around 30 productions in the field of film editing in his 30-year film and television career . Including productions like Die Langoliers , Al Pacino's Looking for Richard , Hardball , Mensch, Dave! or a thousand more words .
life and career
As a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design Department of Film and Television , Ned Bastille began his career in the early 1980s as an editor of US documentaries such as Philip Guston: A Life Lived , Observations Under the Volcano and Empire City .
In the mid-1990s, Tom Holland hired him for the television miniseries The Langoliers, based on the novel by bestselling author Stephen King . In 1996, the director Al Pacino entrusted him with editing his documentary Al Pacino's Looking for Richard .
Since the 1999 theatrical production of Varsity Blues , Bastille has mainly worked with befriended producer and director Brian Robbins . So far, Bastille and Robbins have worked together on eleven film productions. Among them, Ready to Rumble , Hardball , Voll gepunktet , and the three movies Norbit , Mensch, Dave! and A Thousand Words , each starring Eddie Murphy .
In 2013, director Brad Copeland hired him as editor for his comedy Coffee Town .
