Otto-Erich Edenharter

Otto-Erich Edenharter (born August 23, 1906 in Nuremberg ; † February 2, 1987 ) was a German actor .

Life

In the years 1926–1929, Edenharter completed private acting training with Dr. W. Staegmann. After several theater engagements, mainly at provincial theaters, he worked as a theater actor in Berlin from the 1950s .

Otto-Erich Edenharter played in over 50 film and television productions, including the GDR crime series Blaulicht , Polizeiruf 110 and The Public Prosecutor Has the Word . Mostly Edenharter was used in film and television in small and medium roles. His range of roles included figures from the people, such as landlords (as in the literary film Jungfer, I like you ; 1969), farmers and fishermen, but also party officials, superiors and high-ranking officials. He played the bear in the fairy tale film Little Red Riding Hood (1960), a television production by East German television .

Otto-Erich Edenharter was married to Annelies Edenharter , who was also an actress. His children Bodo Wolf and Birgit Edenharter from this marriage also took up the acting profession .
