Scott Lowell

Scott Lowell (born February 22, 1965 in Denver , Colorado ) is an American actor .

life and career

He grew up in Connecticut , taking theater and acting classes at Connecticut College and the National Theater Institute . Lowell then went to Chicago , where he stayed for many years and made a name for himself in the theater scene. He gained a great reputation through appearances in important plays such as Der Steppenwolf or The Goodman .

In Chicago he also got his first major television role in Early Edition . Lowell has appeared in numerous films and television series since the mid-1990s. He became known to a wide audience through his role Theodore 'Ted' Schmidt in the television series Queer as Folk . This series around a group of homosexual friends in Pittsburgh is still close to Lowell's heart today, because he personally started negotiations with a German woman for the world's first Queer as Folk fan convention, at which all nine leading actors (including Sharon Gless and Gale Harold ): “They all trust my opinion, and we are all so grateful to our European fans that my suggestion to come to Germany to meet them was received with nothing but enthusiasm.” The event took place in June 2012 in Cologne.

Scott Lowell lives in Los Angeles .
