Nathan Darrow

Nathan Darrow (born June 21, 1976 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is an American actor . He was best known for the role of the Secret Service agent "Edward Meechum" in the Netflix series House of Cards .

life and career

After high school Accounts at Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park ( Kansas ) he received his Bachelor's in Theater performance and literature at the University of Evansville in Evansville ( Indiana ). He then continued his training as an actor at New York University in New York City .

After returning to Kansas City in 2003, he starred in various plays by William Shakespeare , including Romeo and Juliet and Henry V. In 2009, he moved to New York to appear in other plays. In 2011 and 2012 he played in the Shakespeare play Richard III. with, in which Kevin Spacey also played. This led to the role as Secret Service agent in the television series House of Cards , which was released on Netflix from 2013 to 2019 . In this he played the bodyguard Edward Meechum from 2013 to 2016 .
