reception
In Germany, the series was largely positively received. Nina Rehfeld wrote in the FAZ : “Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have found [the right spin], comic fans and critics alike are delighted with the evil, ironic tone of the series, but also with the action and speed that are so drastic here is set as if Quentin Tarantino had been godfather. [...] “Preacher” is about the search for God, the future of the universe, the meaning of life and the apocalypse . It's about the community in a small Texas town, Johnny Cash and feminism . One imagines the legendary Douglas Adams (“The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy”) would have handled such an arrangement in the same way. ”The critic of the BR Christian Alt judged:“ There are impressive action scenes, we get guys who look like they have she an asshole in the face and amazons who shoot everything short and sweet. In short: "Preacher" is my new favorite series. "
