Jonathan "Jonny" Coyne (* in the 20th century in England ) is a British actor .

life and career

Jonny Coyne was born in England, the second of three children to a football player and a seamstress. He already appeared in stage plays during his school days, including in leading roles in some works such as Oscar Wilde 's Hang of the Gaol . His performances enabled him to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London after school , which he later left with the Hannam Clarke Award .

His first role in front of the camera was in 1990 in an episode of London's Burning series . He subsequently appeared in several British and American series in mostly guest roles, including In Deep , Casualty , EastEnders , Silent Witness , in various roles, between 1990 and 2008, in The Bill , Merlin - The New Adventures , Agatha Christie's Marple , Undercovers , NTSF: SD: SUV :: , Once Upon a Time in Wonderland , Gotham , Manhattan , The Grinder - Always right , The Night Of - The truth of a night , Once Upon a Time - Once upon a time ... , Twin Peaks or MacGyver .

Coyne played one of his greatest roles as guard Edward James in the series Alcatraz in 2012. Further supporting roles since then have been that of George de Mohrenschildt in 11.22.63 - The attack 2016 or as Col. Jonathan Cooke between 2014 and 2017 in Turn: Washington's Spies . Coyne has also been featured in the sitcom Mom since 2014 . Most recently he played the role of Ian Garvey in the series The Blacklist .

Coyne can often be seen in films in smaller supporting roles. In 2003 he was part of the cast of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life . In 2007 he starred in Irina Palm and Night Junkies . In 2010 he played the role of Gnomad in The Nutcracker and also appeared in London Boulevard . 2013 he played Grimes in Gangster Squad , and Hector , the right hand of of John Goodman embodied Marshall in Hangover 3 . In 2014 he took over the role of pawnbroker in Nightcrawler - Every night has its price . Other film appearances followed in Message from the King , Monster or The Nun .

Jonny Coyne currently lives in Los Angeles and North London with his son, who wants to pursue a career as a director there.
