Manhattan (also represented as MANH (A) TTAN) is an American television series that deals with the Manhattan Project , the first major project to build an atomic bomb . The first season aired from July 27, 2014 to October 19, 2014 on WGN America . After Salem , it is the second in-house production of the station. Due to satisfactory ratings for the broadcaster, the series was extended by a second season, which was broadcast from October 13, 2015 to December 15, 2015. Since this brought disproportionately low ratings, the broadcaster decided not to order a third season. In German-speaking countries, the episodes have been available on Netflix since May 11, 2016 .
