Harry Lloyd
Harry Lloyd (born November 17, 1983 in London , England ) is a British actor .
Life
Harry Lloyd was born in London and is a direct descendant of the writer Charles Dickens on his mother's side (his mother Marion is Dickens' great-great-granddaughter). His father, Jonathan Lloyd, is the head of a book agency.
Lloyd attended Eton College and at the age of 16 had his first film role in the BBC's Dickens film adaptation, David Copperfield, as a young James Steerforth . He later studied English at Christ Church in Oxford and during his time there he joined the Oxford University Drama Society , with which he appeared in a number of plays. In 2005 he left Oxford with a second degree.
Since then, Lloyd has been an active television actor and has appeared in a number of television series. These include Doctor Who and the sitcom Genie in the House . In 2006 he played the role of Will Scarlett in the BBC series Robin Hood for a long time . In 2011 he was then cast for the lavish fantasy series Game of Thrones , in which he played the role of Viserys Targaryen in the first season . In the same year he also had roles in the films Jane Eyre and The Iron Lady .
