Rachel Brosnahan (born July 12, 1990 in Milwaukee , Wisconsin ) is an American television and film actress and Emmy and two-time Golden Globe Award winner.

Life

Rachel Brosnahan was born in Milwaukee , Wisconsin , but grew up in Highland Park , Illinois , where she graduated from high school in 2008 and graduated from Tisch School of the Arts in 2012 . Brosnahan is the niece of handbag designer Kate Spade .

Her best-known roles in Germany are Rachel Posner in House of Cards and Jolene Parker / Lucy Brooks in The Blacklist . She also had a recurring role in Black Box and a leading role in Manhattan .

For the title role in the series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel , she received a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award in 2018 .
