The 9th US Critics' Choice Television Awards , presented annually by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), took place on January 13, 2019 in the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Municipal Airport in Santa Monica , California . The award ceremony was broadcast live on the US broadcaster The CW , with Taye Diggs as the host .

The last season of The Americans , the season The Murder of Gianni Versace of the anthology series American Crime Story and the completed miniseries Escape at Dannemora were nominated most frequently, each with five nominations . The latter received nothing at the awards ceremony, while The Americans won three and American Crime Story two awards. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel production, which was recognized as the best comedy series, also received three awards .
