Elizabeth Perkins
Elizabeth Ann Perkins (* 18th November 1960 as Elizabeth Pisperikos in New York district of Queens ) is an American actress .
life and career
Perkins grew up in Vermont . She is of Greek descent through her paternal grandparents . When they emigrated to the USA, they changed their family name Pisperikos to Perkins.
After studying acting at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago , Perkins played in several plays from 1984 to 1985. She made her film debut in 1986 in the feature film Again like last night alongside Demi Moore . Continuing success was her from 2005 with the role of the suburban housewife and mother Celia Hodes in the television series Weeds , for which she was nominated several times for the Emmy , Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards .
Perkins' first marriage was to actor Terry Kinney . She has been married to cameraman Julio Macat since June 2000 . She has a child with director Maurice Phillips .
