Terry Kinney

Terry Kinney (born January 29, 1954 in Lincoln , Illinois ) is an American actor .

Life and accomplishments

Kinney graduated from Illinois State University . In 1974 he founded the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago with actors friend Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry .

The first film role played Kinney on the side of Jennifer Connelly in the comedy Seven Minutes in Heaven from 1985. In the thriller Merciless (1986) he starred on the side of Richard Gere and Kim Basinger , in the drama Miles from Home (1988) appeared he appears next to Richard Gere again. From 1997 to 2003 he played the role of Tim McManus in the television series Oz - Hell Behind Bars . For the role in the film drama The Laramie Project (2002) he was awarded a Golden Satellite Award in 2003nominated. In recent years, he has mainly appeared in various television series.

Kinney was married to actresses Kathryn Erbe and Elizabeth Perkins . He has three children.
