Holly Taylor (born October 31, 1997 in Middleton , Nova Scotia ) is a Canadian actress . She is best known for her role in the series The Americans (2013-2018).

life and career

Holly Taylor was born on Halloween 1997 in Middleton, Canada, in the eastern province of Nova Scotia, the youngest of two children. Her parents are from Ireland and Scotland. In spring 2000 she moved with her family to Wayne ( New Jersey ). Taylor showed an enthusiasm for dancing at the age of four and an interest in a later career as a dancer on Broadway . When she was eleven, she was Sharon Percy in the ensemble of the musical Billy Elliot , with whom she performed eight shows a week at New York's Imperial Theater for 22 months . Meanwhile, she took part in a two-week summer program of the American Ballet Theater , which she could no longer continue because of the musical.

After a few acting lessons in New York, she left the musical Billy Elliot in July 2011 . She then starred in several short films with before an audition tape for the Los Angeles FX - television series The Americans recorded. After meeting the producers, she was eventually hired on the series. Since the series began in January 2013, she has starred in the thriller series alongside Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys in the lead role of Paige Jennings , the daughter of Russells and Rhys' character. For this role, Taylor was nominated at the Saturn Awards 2015 in the category of Best Young TV Actor .
