The 41st Saturn Award ceremony took place on June 25, 2015 in Burbank , California . Significant changes were the introduction of two new categories: Best Mini- Series and Best Superhero Series . In addition, for the first time since its introduction in 1995 , the category for the best television presentation is not rated. The nominations were first announced live on March 3, 2015 by actors Naomi Grossman and Doug Jones .
In the film sector, The Return of the First Avenger received the most nominations with eleven nominations, followed by Interstellar with ten, Guardians of the Galaxy with eight and Planet of the Apes: Revolution with seven. In television, The Walking Dead was nominated seven times, followed by Hannibal and Continuum , which received six and four nominations respectively.
The most successful film production was Interstellar with six wins. Guardians of the Galaxy received four awards. The films Gone Girl , The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and Dracula Untold each received two awards. In the television sector, Hannibal and The Walking Dead were able to win in three categories each. The Flash and Game of Thrones each received two awards.
