Jonathan Nolan
Jonathan "Jonah" Nolan (born June 6, 1976 in London , United Kingdom ) is a British screenwriter . He is the brother of director Christopher Nolan and has worked on his films. He is the inventor of the television series Person of Interest and Westworld . He is working on the latter together with his wife Lisa Joy .
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
Career
Jonathan Nolan attended Loyola Academy in Wilmotte, Illinois, USA. There he passed his exam in 1994. He later graduated from the well-known Georgetown University in Washington, DC , which he left in 1999.
Nolan first became known to a larger audience through his brother's directional film Memento , released in 2000 . His script for this work caused a sensation in the professional world and received an Oscar nomination for best original screenplay . He wrote the screenplay for the 2006 film Prestige - The Masters of Magic , which his brother again directed. The final breakthrough came with a renewed collaboration with his brother and the script for the two Academy Award-winning Batman sequel The Dark Knight .
