Lisa Joy

Lisa Joy is an American screenwriter , director, and television producer . She is the co-creator and executive producer of the HBO series Westworld . She received an Emmy nomination for her Westworld scripts in 2017. She also worked as a screenwriter on the Pushing Daisies and Burn Notice series .

Life

Lisa Joy grew up in New Jersey . Her father is from England and her mother from Taiwan .

Joy graduated from Harvard Law School and was a California attorney prior to filming . She is married to screenwriter Jonathan Nolan , the brother of director Christopher Nolan . The two met at the film premiere of Memento . Together they have two children, a daughter and a son.
