Henry Jackman
Henry Pryce Jackman (* 1974 in Hillingdon , Middlesex , England ) is a British film composer . Jackman studied classical music at St. Paul's Cathedral Choir School , Eton College and Oxford University . Henry Jackman's compositions have been played and recorded by both the London Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
Work as a film composer
In early 2006, Hans Zimmer , one of the most successful film composers, became aware of Jackman. This led Jackman to work with Zimmer on the score for films such as The Da Vinci Code , Pirates of the Caribbean 2 , Love Doesn't Need a Vacation , Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End , The Simpsons - The film , Kung Fu Panda and The Dark Knight was active.
In 2009 Jackman finished his work on DreamWorks animated film Monsters vs. Aliens , for whom Jackman composed the film music independently for the first time. This was followed by the film music for Gulliver's travels - something big is coming up , Henri 4 and Matthew Vaughn's kick-ass .
Working with Vaughn led to another collaboration on the film X-Men: First Choice , which was released in 2011. Further collaborations between the two followed.
Jackman wrote music that is and has been used on CNN News, BBC , The Oprah Winfrey Show, and the Discovery Channel .
Work in the music industry
Despite working on the major film productions, Jackman continued to write his own albums and also worked in the music industry. He worked with Mike Oldfield , Marc Almond , Coolio , Seal and Kirsty MacColl , among others . After six successful years in the music industry with platinum award winners, producers and songwriters, Jackman finally turned to the film industry in 2010.

Awards
Jackman received an Annie Award in 2009 for the score for the animated short film Kung Fu Panda: The Secret of the Furious Five , along with Hans Zimmer and John Powell . After three further Annie nominations in 2011 and 2012, Jackman received an Annie Award in 2013 for Ralph Enough in the category Music in an animated feature film together with Yasushi Akimoto , Skrillex , Adam Young , Matthew Thiessen and Jamie Houston.
