The Oprah Winfrey Show , often just called Oprah or O for short , was an American talk show .

The Oprah Winfrey Show was named after its presenter Oprah Winfrey and was produced by their company "HARPO" (the name Oprah read backwards). It was by far the most successful talk show in American television history. It ran since September 8, 1986 and, at 25 years old and over 4,500 episodes, is the longest-running talk show in the United States. The show had up to 20 million viewers daily in the United States and was broadcast in over 130 countries.
