Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is an action-adventure game developed by the American developer Naughty Dog exclusively for the PlayStation 4 . It was released by Sony Interactive Entertainment in August 2017. The computer game is a stand-alone expansion in which, for the first time in the history of the series, the adventurer Nathan Drake cannot be played. The protagonists are Drake's friend Chloe Frazer, who already played an important role in the series parts Among Thieves and Drake's Deception , and Nadine Ross, who appeared in A Thief's End as the leader of the Shoreline mercenary troop. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a standalone game that does not require you to own the predecessor A Thief's End .

Set about six to twelve months after the events of A Thief's End , the story centers on the adventures of female protagonists Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, who have to reluctantly work together to track down a fabled Indian artifact, the tusk of the deity Ganesha . This is in the hands of the warlord Asav, the antagonist of the game. During the expedition it turns out that Samuel Drake, Nathan Drake's brother, is working with Chloe and that this should distract Asav with false information. Asav finds out, however, and takes Sam hostage. When Chloe and Nadine finally track down the tusk, Asav tied them up and almost killed them. However, the two manage to escape together with Sam and chase after Asav, who has exchanged the tusk for a bomb. He would like to explode these in a city in order to trigger a civil war in India, because he had "divine blood" and the rebels to which he belongs are supposed to recapture the country. Chloe and Nadine manage to divert the train on which the bomb was loaded and destroy the train and the bomb. Asav dies in the process. They want to hand over the tusk to the Indian Ministry of Culture for a finder's fee.

Gameplay

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is an action adventure game in which the protagonist is controlled from a third-person perspective . The play figure climbs and jumps in the style of parkour over the roofs of houses, can swim and swing on ropes. The fight against enemy figures is possible with different handguns and long weapons or with close combat techniques, depending on the choice of the player. In a firefight, the playing figure has the option of firing shots from cover. Alternatively, dangers can also be bypassed by sneaking in the style of a stealth computer game . In addition, different vehicles can be controlled. The game is shaped by numerous surrounding puzzles, which require the solution of sometimes complex puzzles. New is the ability to pick locks and use soundproofed weapons. The course of the game is linear, but there are different ways to achieve the respective goal.

Characters

  • Chloe Frazer is an Australian treasure hunter and friend of Nathan Drake . In the games Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception , she supports Nathan on his adventures. Chloe is described as impulsive, morally flexible, and ruthless.
  • Nadine Ross was the head of the South African paramilitary organization Shoreline and had an army and modern weapons that she was not afraid to use. She is an excellent fighter and a marksman. Her first appearance was in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End , and she is the first antagonist to survive a game in the series. After the dissolution of the organization, she is now hiring out as a mercenary.
