Melissa McBride
Melissa Suzanne McBride (born May 23, 1965 in Lexington , Kentucky ) is an American actress .
Life
Melissa McBride has been an actress since 1993. She took her first role in 1993 in an episode of the series Matlock . This was followed by roles in various television series and films . She played a supporting role in the feature film Lost Heaven in 2002 . 2007 McBride was in a small role in the horror - thriller The fog to see.
Melissa McBride became known to a larger audience when she took on a supporting role in the television series The Walking Dead from 2010 as Carol Peletier , who is developing from an oppressed housewife into a confident fighter. She has been part of the main cast of the series since the second season.
She has lived in Atlanta since the 1980s .
