Nick Davis

Nick Davis (* 20th century ) is a British VFX Supervisor , in 2009 for The Dark Knight for the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects was nominated.

Life

He grew up in the UK as the son of a doctor and moved to the United States in the late 1980s. There he worked for the visual effects company Introvision , where he was involved in films such as Darkman , Red Alert and Fearless - Beyond Fear . He then worked independently on low-budget productions as a screenwriter and assistant director. In 1995 he switched back to the visual effects field with films like Batman Forever and Out of Control .

In 1996 he moved back to Great Britain to work on productions such as Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone and Verlockendefallen . In the following years he was involved in many international productions such as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone , Troy and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory . In 2009 he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects for The Dark Knight together with Chris Corbould , Tim Webber and Paul J. Franklin .
