action

Master thief Robert MacDougal meets master thief Virginia Baker. Baker works for an insurance company; she was assigned to pretend to be a thief and so set a trap for MacDougal. Together they steal an antique mask, while MacDougal reveals his partner and wants to leave her behind. But she can make it clear to him that her job with the insurance company is only a cover and that she has a much bigger coup in mind that she can only master together with him. That's the only reason Baker has worked at the insurance company for five years, developing a program that she needs for the new venture. To do this, they have to go to the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur , where the power supply is cut off for 30 seconds at midnight at the turn of the millennium due to the year 2000 problem . In the meantime, you connect a laptop to the central computer of the clearing bank located there and use a technical trick to extend the time by ten seconds. During this period of time, Virginia sends eight billion dollars to her account through her program, which she wants to share with MacDougal. The alarm goes off when Virginia disconnects from the laptop too soon. If you're lucky, Baker can escape while MacDougal stays behind.

A day later, MacDougal and Baker meet at a light rail stop. MacDougal warns his partner that she is about to be arrested; the police were able to expose MacDougal some time ago and forced him to find and extradite Baker. He also had to return the stolen things, but he embezzled a billion that Baker still has in her account. MacDougal has since fallen in love with her and helps her escape through a deception. Shortly afterwards, the police officers leave the bus stop in frustration. Baker comes back and meets the waiting MacDougal. Together they decide to tackle another mission.
