Phil Meheux

Philip Meheux (born September 17, 1941 in Sidcup , Kent , England ) is a British cameraman . Alternatively , he can often be called Phil Méheux in the opening or closing credits . He is good friends with the director Martin Campbell and works as a cameraman in a large part of his productions. He came to film in 1964 while working as a projectionist for the BBC Film Unit .

Career

Meheux began his career in the late 1960s. In the 1970s he was mainly involved in various television productions. Since 1978 he has worked exclusively for films. He worked several times with the director Martin Campbell .

In 2006 he was awarded the Best Cinematography Award by the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) for his work on Casino Royale . He also received a nomination for the BAFTA Film Award in 2007 . From 2002 to 2006 Méheux was President of the British Society of Cinematographers.
